School Holiday Activity Programme
During school holidays I understand that a lot of the time some children like to take a break from regular lessons and try something new. So in addition to offering regular lessons in school holidays I have a wide range of different musical activities available to choose from!
Epic Beats School Holiday Band
Epic Beats School Holiday Band is a fun group for children aged 5 and over to play music together in a friendly and informal environment. The band is based in Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook Village hall and I run sessions in the occasional school holiday when there is enough demand.
Children get to try a variety of different small hand percussion instruments and play along to regular pop songs. We work into this learning about simple rhythm, dynamics and how to work as a team to make the songs sound even better! Ages of all children attending are taken into consideration to make activities appropriate and fun for all!
Epic Beats is unique because I want to give parents the option to take part in an a school holiday activity with their child if they want to do something together. As a parent myself I found it really hard to find activities in the school holidays that welcomed parents too! Alternatively if the accompanying parent or carer would just prefer to chill out and watch of course that's fine too!
Parents can also drop off children if they would like a morning of peace! However this is for children aged 6 and over only. All younger musicians must be accompanied.
The duration of Epic Beats is 1 hour 30 minutes.
At the end all children receive a certificate and special sticker to take home.
Music Fun Sessions
Music Fun Sessions take place as usual at my home studio in a private booked lesson space.
Instead of carrying on with the music currently being learned children get to play more musical games, write their own music and even have a go at conducting an imaginary orchestra!
These sessions are on offer during most school holidays.
Learn a New Instrument Mini Courses
During the summer holidays there is the option to have a go at playing a new instrument, no instrument purchase necessary!
You can choose either 2, 3 or 4 lessons to fit in with your summer holiday availability.

When the course is complete the child will get a certificate to take home.
